The winner of the “Machine” category is IPC Gansow which presented ECS Eco Cost Cleaning Solution a system which, applied to floor washing-drying machines, allows for an 80% saving of water in comparison to traditional systems, furthermore through its ChemDose system, it is able to reduce the use of chemical detergents, and its Battery Life Save system increases battery life by 30% and more. The prize was also awarded because “the environmental purpose has been clearly demonstrated in the design of the system and because it positively responds to almost all of the parameters defined in this contest obtaining excellent environmental performances. The product’s eco-design pertains to multiple aspects and it introduces in the market a system of machines with diverse, versatile, cutting-edge solutions, all oriented to reduce the environmental impact in different ways (decrease of water consumption, energy resources, detergents and quantity of materials".

The winner of the “Equipment” category is Activeion GmbH with its Ionator EXP, manual application equipment that ionizes tap water through electrolysis of the stream of water, which becomes a powerful detergent thereby eliminating the use of chemical products and up to 99% of hazardous bacteria. The prize has been awarded “for the new product concept, which thanks to its water ionizing mechanism keeps it active on the surfaces, much like a detergent, allows a different and innovative approach to cleaning with a noticeable saving of resources (water, chemical detergents, plastic, etc.) and reduces the polluting effect on the environment due to the elimination of the transport”.

The winner of the “Chemical” category is Sutter Professional with Ecocaps, a line of pre-measured hydro soluble capsules corresponding to an exact product dose, in order to avoid waste and pollution of the environment. This prize has been awarded because "it is clear that the will of the manufacturer is to pursue an environmental goal from the planning stage of the product which is achieved through the design of a user friendly application. By reducing the amount of packaging consumption, packaging and consequently transportation, it reduces the environmental impact in comparison to similar products”.
