The decision of creating an award tied to the environment comes from the will of sensitizing the companies operating in the cleaning sector to respect the environment and the concept of sustainability. AfidampFAB, being an Italian association of producers of machinery, products and tools for the industrial cleaning, and having as a primary objective the development of the cleaning sector, believes that the environment is not a “cost” for companies but a surplus value.
AfidampFAB is asking the cleaning sector for greater responsibility and sensibility in the research for sustainability and ethic effort.
The aim of the contest is to enhance the environmental culture of companies, to promote the definition of strategies for the reduction of waste, climate altering gasses, the use of non-renewable resources and to sustain the development of new eco-compatible products in the sector of professional cleaning.
AfidampFAB believes that the company, aiming at the achievement of environmental sustainability, should work both on the planning and methodological aspects (product design, development process, lifecycle, choice of materials, etc.) and on the management aspects (storage, supply of raw materials, in/out transportation).
